Beckham Returns to No. 13 for Second Giants Stint
Odell Beckham Jr. will wear No. 13 for the New York Giants this season, the team announced Tuesday afternoon, restoring the number he wore during his original tenure with the franchise from 2014 to 2018.
Beckham had worn No. 3 during the offseason, but rookie linebacker Abdul Carter - the No. 3 overall pick out of Penn State in the 2025 NFL Draft - claimed that number before Beckham signed his one-year deal with the Giants in June. Fourth-year receiver Jalin Hyatt, who had worn No. 13 throughout his NFL career since 2023, gave up the number to accommodate Beckham. The Giants selected Beckham with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft out of LSU. Over five seasons in his first stint, he ranks second in franchise history with 5,476 receiving yards and fourth with 390 receptions and 44 receiving touchdowns in 59 regular-season games. He earned Pro Bowl honors in each of his first three seasons, averaging 96 receptions, 1,374 yards and 11.7 touchdowns per year from 2014 to 2016.
Beckham's return also reunites him with head coach John Harbaugh, under whom he played during a 2023 stint with the Baltimore Ravens. The Giants open the 2026 regular season at home against the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 13.
